Israeli scientists have made another breakthrough in the field of cardiology. I was able to fill in the spaces of the damaged hearts of electronic components, including the world’s first “heart-cyborg”.
A team of scientists from the University in Tel Aviv, under the leadership of Dr Tala Dvira first joined living tissue with electronic components to replace the damaged piece of organ and sustain its operation. Bionic slice in the future can find applied to treat the damaged portion of the heart in patients after coronary heart disease or myocardial infarction of this organ.
Innovative Bionic dressing is made from artificial tissues, but it works like a normal heart tissue along with aorta. Thanks to the electronic components, the doctor can constantly monitor the patient’s health and take action in advance. Bionic slice can release drugs to mitigate the inflammation, in addition to a shortage of oxygen and to speed up the regeneration of tissues.
Innovative technology developed by Israeli scientists in the future could lead to the development of personalized medicine, in which each therapy will be developed strictly for a particular patient.
