Polish researchers are able to produce Graphene in square meters (Patented!)

Manufacture Graphene developed at the Technical University in Lodz is already patent and protected by law in United States and European Union. Graphene produced by Advanced Graphene Products.  Among the available on the market most closely resembles the standard which have been awarded with the Nobel Price.

Polish researchers are able to produce Graphene in square meters, which makes production possible on an industrial scale. “This is not a simple process, because it requires a large and flat mirrors, molten metal. So we can have the die, forming a large area we need to maintain the very thin layer of molten metal. Later carried out are no longer the only chemical treatment and heat ” described Prof. Kula.

He stressed that there is no technological material which is free from defects. “However, the less these defects will be, the more the Graphene gets close to model material, that has incredibly high electrical and mechanical properties” explained.

Graphene produced by HSMG primarily can be used in composites, construction materials. “At the Technical University Lodz we are working on using multi layers Graphene to store hydrogen as fuel, but also working on sensors and filters water. It is also a very wide range of applications”.

Another technology that allows you to produce cheap Graphene on silicon carbide substrates in 2011, has developed a team under the leadership of Dr Eng. Vladimir Strupińsky from the Institute of Electronic Technology in Warsaw. In may 2015 has acquired the patent protection in the United States. “I value highly a a method based on silicon carbide, but this is a typical application for electronics. Our Graphene due to its strength, the ability to move from one floor to another, is by far the wider area of potential applications, “said Prof. Kula.

Ultimately, the installation of which will make it possible to launch the production of Graphene HSMG in full, industrial scale will make it to the scientific and Technological Park University from Zielona Gora, where the new company facility Advanced Graphene Products is located.
