Chinese company got permission to start testing latest invention. Company EHang responsible for the manned project Drone 184 got permission to start tests in the air-zone Nevada. So far, this was not possible due to lack of official permission from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Huazhi Hu, founder and CEO of EHang called it “a major step” in the development of the manned drones and announced that his company’s ambition is to introduce the universal use of private flying vehicles of this type.
Drone EHang 184 was presented earlier this year in Las Vegas. The machine resembles the classic, radio controlled drone, but it is much larger and has in the Middle a small passenger cabin. Device on a fully charged battery is able to take on board the weight with a total weight of 100 kg and float with it in the air for 20 minutes. Charging the battery takes 2 hours.
Air conditioned cab provides enough space for one person and a small baggage. A drone can be controlled using the Microsoft Surface. Before the start of the designated route, after which landed with the touch of a button. The height of the continuous drone is 300-500 m, although the producers ensure that can soar even on 3.5 km, the maximum speed is 100 km/h, though it is not known whether such travel not discharged batteries faster.
